The newly launched Horizon 2020 project EISS, aims to improve eco-innovation support services in smaller manufacturing companies from traditional sectors in the peripheral regions, where innovation services offer is often weak. The project relates to the work programme topic “Peer learning of innovation agencies INNOSUP-5-2014”.

On January 12th, the EISS project partners held their Kick-off Skype meeting, during which they presented some general and technical issues to the project’s peer learning group, set the management procedures and discussed how the milestones will meet the expectations with respect to the intended project outcome.

About EISS:

EISS is a 1-year EU funded project, launched in January 12th, 2016. The project’s objectives will be achieved through peer-learning and pilot activities taken by project partners KEPA (Business & Cultural Development Centre), Friuli Innovazione and NORRIA (North Hungarian Regional Innovation Agency). Specific focus will be dedicated to smaller manufacturing companies from traditional sectors (e.g. automotive, mechanics, construction, chemicals, food & beverage, etc.), although the recommendations developed could will be valid for all sectors and company sizes. Using the Twinning Advanced methodology, this initiative will lead to the elaboration of a Design Option Paper (DOP), which will serve as a “guide” or a “handbook” to other innovation agencies to design and/or deliver similar, more enterprise-friendly programmes and services on eco-energy efficiency.
