In Friuli Venezia Giulia the new Centre of excellence on virtual simulation
Starts in Friuli Venezia Giulia the new Centre of Excellence on Simulation (VI-SimCenter), set up by VI-grade, world leader in technologies for virtual prototyping, and Friuli Innovazione. The opening event will held on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 10:30 in the premises of the company, in Tavagnacco (UD).
The project aims to create in Friuli Venezia Giulia a centre of exellence in technologies of virtual prototyping and testing, with possible applications in all industrial sectors.
VI-SimCenter currently features three driving simulators from the VI-DriveSim product line: two static with a fixed platform and one dynamic with a moving platform, the latter currently being the only prototype of this kind installed in the world. The dynamic driving simulator has been developed thanks to a regional funding, with the support of Friuli Innovazione.
Moreover, a virtual driving school is currently being launched, with the purpouse of educating the drivers on how to react to dangerous road conditions or traffic situations.
