Italy-Austria, cross border coooperation ideas award

A competition for the selection of the best cooperation ideas between Italian and Austrian enterprises is the last initiative promoted by the Tri ICT project partners.
The contest – co-founded by the Interreg IV Italy-Austria Programme - is open to entries concerning entrepreneurial cooperation projects in technological sector which rely on the added value of a cross border partnership. A special jury will identify the best 6 ideas which will be illustrated each in a video clip. The winners will be presented as best practice through the videos in any promotional occasion concerning the Tri ICT project and during a dedicated international ceremony to be organized by the project partnership at the end of 2010.
Tri ICT, leaded by Friuli Innovazione – together with Udine and Trieste Universities, Lakeside Labs and Alpe Adria University, BIC Incubatori FVG and CReS - is a project devoted to promote collaboration initiatives among Carinthian and Italian SMEs in the ICT field. The main task of the project is to foster new business ideas and support SMEs to develop them through the research of financial opportunities.
The outcomes of the project activities will be helpful to give precious indications to the public regional administrators in order to facilitate their collaboration in the development of strategic bilateral intervention lines to support the economic growth of the interregional area.
Till now the project, started in September 2008, organized already 2 international events which attracted more than 50 SMEs in ICT field coming both from FVG and Carinthia, as well as public administrations and other lead users in the lead markets investigated (e-health, domotics and tourism).
To the video award can take part Italian and Austrian SMEs located in the Interreg IV Italy-Austria programme area, which previously registered in the project web community ( Participants must have their core business in one of the four ICT lead markets considered by the Tri ICT project (e-health&domitcs, Logistics&transport, Tourism&creative industries, Energy&environment).
Entries can be submitted online only, until February 21st 2010.
